Kakeru Kurahara

Height: 172 cm (5'8) Kakeru has short, straight black hair and slate-colored eyes. When he runs, the wind pushes his hair to the back. He has a lean and athletic build that was developed over the years of competitive running. He often maintains a serious expression and he is usually seen wearing his sky blue sports jacket and gray sweatpants. Kakeru is a first-year sociology student at Kansei University and the current resident of Room 103 of Chikuseisou. A prodigious athlete since high school who became disillusioned due to an incident in his old Track and Field team. He first joined the Chikuseisou after Haiji met him stealing from a convenience store. Personality-wise Kakeru is rather cold towards his fellow runners and takes running very seriously. He also doesn't like when he has to slow down to match the pace of others. However after joining Kansei Track and Field time he slowly learns what it really means to run.
