Shukaido was the team's physician. Shukaido tended to stay in the background for the most part. He was in love with Mokuren, as all the male team members were at some point. Shukaido was presented as calm, intelligent, and well-mannered. He was good friends with Gyokuran and Shion during college, and often tried to speak with Shion to defuse his anger over Gyokuran's popularity. Shukaido managed to synthesize a vaccine for the virus that was killing the moon team, however, by that time he had already acquired the virus and only he, Mokuren, and Shion were left.
