Shizu

Shizu is a young man with a great talent for swordsmanship, weilding a katana. He travels in a buggy alongside his vassal and pet Samoyed, [Riku](https://anilist.co/character/15428/Riku), and eventually [Ti](https://anilist.co/character/150047/Tifana), a girl whom Riku and Shizu eventually take in. [Kino](https://anilist.co/character/87/Kino)'s first impression of Shizu is of a peaceful martyr, despite participating in a tournament of death. ~!Despite escaping the Land of the Coliseum as a child, he returns seven years later to participate in the tournament as a means to assassinate his father and end the tyranny.!~ Kino and [Hermes](https://anilist.co/character/88/Hermes) occasionally meet up with Shizu and Riku during their travels, but Kino seems to only remember Riku's name.
