Akiko

Akiko is the Emperor of Japan, a female emperor who plans to abdicate when her younger half-brother comes of age. After her father's death, she was the only one able to assume the throne. She wants to be a good ruler and do what is best for her people, and fears that her own wants will interfere with that goal. She was once engaged to Rokouin-no-Miya, but broke off the engagement when she became emperor.
