Ken

A stalwart space cowboy-hero, Ken is a boy with a mysterious past. Captain Ken, also known as the “Savior of the Martians”, is a mysterious human hero boy who, along with his powerful robot horse, Arrow, intervenes to help combat the growing violence between human settlers and the indigenous martian population. Appearing and vanishing mysteriously, the boy has a strange connection to the pretty young woman named Kenn Minakami. Ken is the titular hero of the “Sci-Fi meets the Old West” shonen action adventure, Captain Ken (1960-61). Although he hasn’t appeared outside his own series, he is the main protagonist in an adventure manga that explores the struggle of two different sentient species attempting to coexist; similar to Nextworld (1951), Zero Men (1959-60), and the human/robot relations issues in Astro Boy (1952-68).
