Louis Armstrong

Louis is an artificial intelligence whose purpose is to preserve the DNA of all living species from planet Earth (except humans) as humanity disappears and the world comes to ruin. As centuries passed by, he managed to gain true sentience as he kept researching for ways to improve his efficiency levels in order to keep himself from being destroyed together with the "guests" (the DNA samples). Even as his intelligence went far above humans and he started to show hints of despair and loneliness, he never gave up on his endless, increasingly violent battle against the elements. ~!In the end, just as his core was damaged beyond help and he despaired about his impending failure, help finally came. He succeeded in his mission and life could be restored, but the 27 million years of struggling left Louis all but destroyed. (The ones that arrive are different in both versions. In one, they're mankind's descendants; in the other, the Ark's AI that evolved just like Louis).!~
