Oliver

Oliver is a shadow of the Children's House who is among the exalted ranks of the Star Bearers. He leads the research team and is characterized by his love of inventing new machines and mechanisms to deal with scorches. His Living Doll, Olly, often helps his master with his projects, seeming to delight in them as much as he does. Oliver is slouched over constantly due to his long hours working on his inventions and is observed to be sleep-deprived due to his dedication to his work. He has a one-track mind and is easily excited over any new gadgets he creates. He has a friendly disposition to Emilico and her friends, due to Emilico using one of his inventions to defeat a scorch. He has a medium soot quantity and uses his soot powers in his inventions.
