Black Convoy

Leader of the Combatrons, a ruthless and no-nonsense - albeit short-tempered and megalomaniac - field commander serving as Gigatron's second-in-command. Originally a Cybertron warrior sent to Earth to help reactivate Brave Maximus, following a crash-landing him and his crew would revert to protoforms and enter stasis, remaining in this state until their discovery and subsequent awakening by Gigatron, who allowed them to adapt new identities by scanning new alternate modes. In Black Convoy's case, his intended alternate mode was a tanker truck - however, due to an accident, his stasis pod would also scan Fire Convoy himself, resulting in him strongly resembling the Cybertron leader and resenting him from this point onward. In the Legends manga, he gains an assistant in the form of [Dark Ai](https://anilist.co/character/322551/Dark-Ai), who sometimes acts as his voice of reason. Note: In the US adaptation of *Car Robots*, he was renamed to **Scourge**.
