Juan is the Gym Leader of Sootopolis City's Gym. He left his Gym in the care of his former student, Wallace, but returned after Wallace replaced Steven and moved up to the position of Pokémon Champion. He gives the Rain Badge to Trainers who defeat him. He specializes in Water-type Pokémon.
