Abel Brehme

Abel is the source of most of her growing pains as the two are in a cold war over how her future should play out. When Jürgen enters the picture, Abel and him begin a complicated relationship based in debts, mutual respect and necessity. He is a bureaucrat in the Ministry of Trade and Industry, a member of the East German Economic Planning Commission, and rumored to have ties to the Stasi as well. His father was a prominent communist that defected to the USSR before World War II, making the Brehme family a member of East Germany’s nomenklatura.
