Seolha

Seolha is a gentle concubine, abused by the cruel Emperor for her looks and treated as a slave. She is the last of the Yul people (descendants of the maiden of the heavens and a mortal) who were known for their unearthly beauty. Because they were so beautiful, the Yul were continually exploited and ravaged by other people. When she was a child, Seolha was abducted and taken to the emperor. This abduction filled the Yul with despair and they all killed themselves, leaving Seolha as the only survivor.
