The one who explains that humans will suffer extinction in the year 2272. His research states that due to global warming Earth's weather has entered a gradual but unstoppable chain reaction that will result in the oceans boiling and the end of life. Since there's nothing that can be done at that point, he proposes to preserve DNA samples of each known lifeform except for humans as atonement. For that purpose he entrusts his best student, Jiro Anno, the task of erecting a huge tower at the south pole, which is eventually managed by Louis Armstrong. He dies soon after giving Jiro command.
