Koutarou Ishigaki

Ishigaki is kind and friendly, as exhibited by his relationships with his teammates and interactions with other characters. Before Midousuji entered the cycling club, Ishigaki and the other Kyofushi members referred to each other with affectionate nicknames (for example, he was "Ishiyan" and Mizuta was "Nobu"). Ishigaki was upset when he had to leave his comrades behind on Midousuji's orders. Ishigaki was also kind to Onoda during their first meeting when he picked up Onoda's water bottle and tried to help calm him down. However, Ishigaki clearly has the drive to obtain victory since he decided to follow Midousuji's lead. Despite Midousuji's underhanded tactics, Ishigaki respects his talent and determination to win. He is now a freshman at Meisou University and a member of the Meisou University Bicycle Club along with Juichi Fukutomi, the former ace of Hakogaku and the former sprinter of the same club, Hayato Shinkai.
