For as long as she can remember, Maho has lived as the adopted daughter of a miko at a shrine with a mermaid goddess. Although she's curious, she's fine with the many restrictions that her adoptive mother enforces. Then she meets a mysterious woman, Rena, by the shore who never ages and asks Maho to keep her existence a secret.
